Bireli Lagrene

French hot club and jazz fusion guitarist Biréli Lagrène [1966 - ] is said to have started learning Django Reinhardt's solos at the age of four, and that he at the age of eight covered Django's repertoire. At 14, he did record his first album, “Routes to Django”.

He has performed with jazz greats like Stéphane Grappelli, Benny Goodman, Benny Carter and Larry Coryell.

He has toured with the bassist Jaco Pastorius.
