Dave Stryker Live @ Birdland

Dave Stryker and The Blue to the Bone Band live at Birdland, New York City 8/11/2009

The Blue To The Bone band features the blues side of Dave's playing with a 4 piece horn section riffing behind him. Although still coming from a jazz perspective, it allows Dave to indulge his love of B.B. and Albert King with some different New Orleans and funk rhythms going on underneath. Blue to the Bone III (SteepleChase Music) was picked by Gary Walker at WBGO and by Jazzreview as one of the top CD's of 2002.

Dave Stryker (guitar), Freddie Hendrix (trumpet), Steve Slagle (alto sax), Vincent Gardner (trombone), Jason Marshall-Bari (sax), Bill Moring (bass), Clarence Penn (drums).
