@funnyapples1 There's a 2 CD compilation from Blue Note called The best Blue note album in the world (or something close to that). It's a nice sampler of the classic Blue Note era with Coltrane, Horace Silver, Herbie Hancock, etc., and newer stuff on the same label. @funnyapples1 Alright you have to get a kind of blue by miles Davis, blue train by john coltrane, a night in tunisia jazz messengers by Art Blakley, the BBC Big Band has an album on i tunes that has a-lot of standards like take the a train jersey shore bounce, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Chick Corea (more fusion), and Al Di Meola (fusion again) are people to check out hope this helps-Benbtw they are so many muscians that are important jazz it take all day to list extremeseafood (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
