@Gullahboy I've heard that Charlie and Django didn't like each other, both very competitive guitarists, vying for the top spot as the best jazz player.

Christian was such a perfect contrast to Goodman.Goodman's swing was so labored at times,while Charlie's just flowed effortlessly.One of THE coolest soloists ever!!!

@nicazzo He is mostly influenced by his fatherwho was a songer-guitaristand by Eddie Durham and Floyd SmithI don't think he is influenced by RobertJohnson because he is a blues guitaristand Christian is Jazz

Good question considering he was THE premier jazz guitarist (I gues an argument could be made for Reinhardt, actually) and extremely influential.
