Jim Hershman

Jim HershmanJim Hershman (1961, Sacramento, CA) is a critically acclaimed American jazz guitarist, composer and band leader of his Jim Hershman Trio. He is based in New York.

Jim Hershman began to study guitar at age twelve. After living in Berkeley for two years, Hershman relocated to Los Angeles and received his Bachelors Degree from Cal State University at Northridge, where he studied both jazz and classical guitar. He received his Masters Degree from Manhattan School Of Music.

Style: straight-ahead bebop, hard bop, cool jazz, big band, classical guitar.
